ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

KONAS XI PERDOSNI & 20th Asian Oceanian Congress of Neurology (AOCN) — Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia — November 18–22, 2026

Participant Requirements
  1. Participants must be:
    1. Neurology residents
    2. Neurology specialists
    3. General practitioners
    4. Medical students
  2. Participants are required to register as participants of the KONAS PERDOSNI - AOCN 2026 symposium and to have paid the registration fee.
  3. Publication rights should belong to the committee.
  4. Participants must observe the deadlines for article submission and other announcements published in the KONAS PERDOSNI - AOCN 2026 announcement.
  5. Participants shall comply with the committee’s decisions.
Article Requirements
General Provisions and Article Processing Flow
  1. The committee accepts scientific articles for the oral/poster presentation.
  2. Article topics may be taken from any branch of neurology.
  3. The scientific article must be an original article that has not been previously published.
  4. The article type may be either a research article or a case report.
  5. In general, participants will be asked to submit three documents: an abstract, a full manuscript, and a poster.
  6. Abstract formatting guidelines:
    1. The abstract must not exceed 250 words.
    2. The abstract structure for research articles is: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion.
    3. The abstract structure for case report articles is: Introduction, Case Report, and Discussion.
  7. The main author is the person who has made the greatest contribution to an article written by several authors. The name of the main author must be listed first in the author list and underlined.
  8. Authors are individuals who have contributed directly to the research.
  9. The submitted abstract and full manuscript must have been approved by each author who contributed to the article.
  10. Research articles must have obtained approval from the local Health Research Ethics Committee.
  11. Case report articles must have obtained consent from the patient or another person responsible for the patient.
  12. Authors are responsible for the content of their articles.
  13. If an article is found to contain unethical language or other content, or content that may raise issues related to ethnicity, religion, race, or intergroup relations; has been previously published; has not passed ethical review (for research articles); has not obtained permission from the patient or another person responsible for the patient (for case report articles); or contains elements of plagiarism, fabrication, and/or fraud, the committee has the right to reject the article, exclude the article from KONAS PERDOSNI - AOCN 2026, or cancel its presentation and/or award status.
  14. Articles consist of a title, an abstract, and a full manuscript written in English.
  15. The committee will review the eligibility of abstracts for acceptance and inclusion in the event proceedings book.
  16. Abstracts requiring revision will be returned to participants by email after the abstract is received by the committee.
  17. Participants may revise their abstract once after receiving a revision request from the committee.
  18. The deadline for submitting a revised abstract is 3 days after the participant receives the revision request from the committee.
  19. Participants whose abstracts are accepted are required to submit a full manuscript.
  20. The committee has the right to make minor grammatical changes to the abstract and full manuscript without altering the content.
  21. Abstracts and full manuscripts will be assessed by the reviewers.
  22. Article presentation in poster/oral form and its assessment will be conducted in person during KONAS PERDOSNI - AOCN 2026.
  23. The poster and oral presentation mechanism will be announced later.
  24. The winners of the poster competition will be announced at the end of the KONAS PERDOSNI - AOCN 2026 symposium.
